MAN WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH SHOOTING INCIDENT

Jacksonville Police continue their search for an Anniston man - 28 year old Otis Lee Hunter -
who is wanted in connection with a shooting incident that occurred late Saturday night, at the
Jacksonville Mobile Home Park.
Officers responded to the location shortly before midnight after receiving a call regarding shots
being fired; upon arrival they discovered 26 year old Jonathan Kirkfey of Anniston lying on the
ground suffering from two gunshot wounds to the left leg.
Witnesses reported to police - that Kirkfey and Hunter had been involved in an altercation just
moments before - with Hunter allegedly shooting Kirkfey, twice in the leg with a handgun - then fleeing
the scene.
Kirkfey was transported to Regional Medical Center in Anniston for treatment.
Officers are still in the process of interviewing witnesses as they continue to search for Hunter.
